Mashup song adalah sebuah lagu/track atau komposisi yang ciptakan dengan memadukan dua lagu atau lebih rekaman lagu, yang biasanya dilakukan dengan menambahkan atau melapisi rute vocal dari satu dengan instrument lagu lain. Sebutan lain adalah  mesh, blend. Ada juga yang menulis Mushup.

Pengertian detailnya Mashup/bootleg adalah sebuah rekaman lagu yang berisi dari dua lagu atau lebih yang composisi musiknya mengambil dari lagu lain / asli, akan tetapi di ambil bagian yang menurut sang pembuat mashup (Masher) penting. Dan mempunyai chord sama agar harmoni. Contoh: Di ambil bagian vocal Reff. Yang kemudian di gabungin jadi satu lagu. Dan setiap pergantian vocal dan instrument lagunya tepat dan harmoni.
